For the Record...

Elder Oaks talked today about how we feel the best when we are creating.

He did not say anything about us "useless majors" needing to get a "real" job, but rather applauded our degree decisions because it allows us to create.

And, he mentioned all of us "useless" artists as creators and failed to say anything about you, dear Communications major in green shoes from freshman year.

That's all.

Graduation was rad.  I'll post more about that later though.

WTF?

Just read this on a blog of a girl I was friends with freshman year: "I graduate on Friday! Woop, woop! Unfortunately I have to graduate with the college of "Fine Arts and Communications" - meaning I will be with all of the art, vocal performance, theatre and otherwise useless majors at our university. Good news is that I am wearing hot green, patent high-heels (of course). Everyone looks so bland in their gowns so I figured that I would spice things up a little. Other good news is that Elder Oaks will be speaking at my commencement. I am looking forward to the things he has to say (perhaps something to the fine arts people encouraging them to get real jobs??)."

Apparently, I have a useless major!  Good thing Elder Oaks is going to tell me to get a real job!

Seriously girl, kiss my bum.

When someone says that something you've done in your line of work is an answer to their prayers, then talk to me about me having a useless major.  Until then, I will plan on looking hotter than you at graduation and loving my "useless" degree.

Awkward

I think it's...interesting that I say that this is my blog uncensored, unedited, etc. and yet I have my blog set to private, making it extremely censored.

Why do I care so much what people think?
