JOB!

I got the best phone call in the world this morning - WF called offering me a job!!!

It's only 20 hours a week. I'll be starting at 11/hr.

Let me tell you why I'm ok with this:
  • I am easily overwhelmed in new situations. Working only 20 hours a week gives me the opportunity to learn information and develop a groove without the stress of working such long days. I won't burn out, but instead I'll get excited and be ready to tackle more when the time comes.
  • There is the possibility that I can become full time in the near future, provided a couple people get promotions. I am praying they do. :) (feel free to pray for that too.)
  • Benefits for WF employees start for those working at least 20 hours a week. So we qualify for benefits, which is so important since ours end on Sunday!
  • 11/hr may not sound like much, but it's the highest they can start me at. And in the group interview, we were told that tellers can make 300/mo. in bonuses. That's in addition to hourly rate.
I am still looking for piano and voice students to teach in the evenings to supplement our income even more. But, I have a job!!! And one that I can see myself succeeding and being happy in!

Rage

I literally just threw up in my mouth.

That's an expression tons of people use when they're disgusted at something. I've used it before. I've never actually thrown up in my mouth because I was disgusted at something.

Until tonight.

My ex is engaged. The man that I hate more than...well, he's the one person that I actually hate. He is getting married.

I wish that I was a big enough person to say, "I hope that he's happy."

I'm not.

D said, "Well maybe he's changed!"

Yeah right.

While I like to believe that people can change, I just cannot believe that he has or ever will. He is such a jack ass.

I hope he rots.

I have been through hell because of him. His manipulation and abuse have left me so scarred and broken.

I know I should work towards forgiving him. And someday, I want to. But when I think about him, I vomit in my mouth. Or I tear up. And such rage boils inside me!

Damn him.

Public Service Announcement

This one is for all you ladies out there. And if you men want to continue reading, I suggest you file this information away in your brain as I'm certain it will come in handy someday.

When dealing with a yeast infection, do not buy anti-itch cream. It will do you no good.

Do yourself a favor and buy anti-fungal cream. It will do you good.

I wish someone had told me this earlier. Instead, I had to find out from an urgent care doctor (damn antibiotics and what they do to women's bacteria balance).

So now you all are wiser. :)
Here's to good health down there.

Highlight of My Day

Just to fill you in a little bit on what my life is like here...

I water my MIL's garden every day. Today while I was watering, I was listening to my ipod (The Last 5 Years, if you were wondering) and singing along, serenading the sheep. I was watering the cantaloupe when I looked down and saw something small and furry hiding in the middle of the plant! I dropped some water on it to make it move, thinking it was a gopher (because there are gopher holes all over). The small furry thing moved out of the middle of the plant and into a less foliage dense area and I saw that it was a little baby bunny! The baby bunny just sat there, terrified I'm sure, and stared at me. I looked around to make sure the Lucy dog was no where near and then called for D to come see this tiny, oh-so-cute, baby bunny! He came, looked, admired a bit, then went back to studying. I kept watering, so as not to frighten the baby bunny, who at this point I'm sure has been abandoned. I mean, this baby bunny is tiny! And I couldn't find a burrow hole anywhere nearby.

Then Grandma comes walking down. She heard me out singing and thought she'd come say hello. So I show her the baby bunny too! She is now worried about the owls (oh yes, I live next door to 2 huge barn owls) getting the bunny. But, never fear Grandma, the owls sleep during the day so for now the bunny is safe.

I went back to take pictures of my little baby bunny hiding in the cantaloupe. I would share them with you, but I still can't find my camera cord. So...use your imagination!

And yes, seeing this baby bunny has been the highlight of my day. :)

California knows how to party

Hello boys and girls!

I'm still alive. And in California!

We made it here safely. Someday I'll type up the fiasco that was moving out here. But today is not the day.

I have not yet found a job. I do have an interview with WF this next Friday so send good vibes my way! I need the job!

I'm also going to start teaching piano/voice lessons up here. So, if you have any friends in the Loomis/Rocklin area, tell them about me!

The only other news to report is that I'm no longer addicted to the internet and my cell phone. I get next to no reception where we're living and we don't have internet. I've been watching a lot of movies to pass the time...

Currently, I'm at my SIL's house where D and I are watching her kids. We just put them to bed and the youngest is screaming bloody murder. You'd think we beat the kid before we put him in his crib, but no. He just doesn't want to sleep. Let's just say I'm grateful D and I don't have any kids yet. ;)
