Jackson turned 1 month old on Saturday!
I can hardly believe it.
Nicknames: Jack, Jackie Boy, JL, Action Jack, Jack-Jack, Jackson Man, Little Love, Little Man
Jack is just a little angel!
Although, right now he thinks that daytime is the time to be asleep and nighttime is the time to be awake.
From this last month:
- Jack is becoming more alert and aware of what's going on around him.
- He loves to snuggle and be snuggled.
- He sleeps best when he's laying on someone's chest (Daddy, grandpa, Uncle Nathan, etc).
- He hates to sleep flat on his back.
- He loves moving his arms and hands.
- He has to have his hands close to his head when he's sleeping (which makes swaddling super fun - we now just fold the blanket over his hands when we're swaddling him so he can keep them close to his head).
- He's totally unfazed by Izzy barking and giving him kisses.
- His left foot is clubbed (hence the cast) so he's had lots and lots of doctors appointments, but he's making super great progress!
- He has made it out of preemie diapers, but not out of preemie clothes - such a little peanut!
- He knows Mom and Dad's voices - when Dad gets home from work he wakes up to hear his voice.
- He hates his car seat.
- He likes his swing.
- He doesn't enjoy baths or having his diaper changed.
- He giggles and smiles, but mostly on accident.
- He loves having his bum thumped - calms him right down.
- He has long fingers and toes, so we're hopeful that he will be taller than us!
- He's learned to grab onto Mom's hair (so I have a feeling I'll be getting a haircut in the near future).
- He's a little charmer - ladies fall in love with him at first sight (and, I can hardly blame him - he's adorable!).
- He's had his first plane ride (to Oregon for Uncle Nate's graduation).
- He's been to church for all 3 hours.
- Fortunately, he doesn't have any girlfriends yet - just Mom.
I love my little man!
