Jack's First Easter

J celebrated his first Easter this last weekend.

I've gotta admit, I feel like I really dropped the ball this Easter.
No decorations, no eggs, no lessons about Jesus or the resurrection.
(So much for starting new holiday traditions!)

Fortunately, there were a few saving graces.

Our ward had an Easter Egg hunt.  J didn't really care about finding eggs or the candy inside, but he enjoyed crawling around, playing in the bark chips, playing with other baby's his age, and watching all of the other kids.

His first Easter Basket was pretty low key.  A sippy cup, maracas, and a "My First Easter" bib.
I promise he was excited about it - but he was cutting four teeth, so he didn't want to smile at all.

J's favorite part of the whole day was our family dinner with the W family.  Shocker.
Potatoes, broccoli, bread, ham, and cereal puffs.

Here's to a better Easter next year!

What are your favorite family Easter traditions?  Clearly we are lacking and I could use the help!
