Hello 2010

Things I learned from chaperoning a stake dance last night:

• The tighter the pants, the better. This is true for males and females. Example - one guy's pants were so tight, he went to jump on another guy's back for a piggy-back ride and he was unable to because his jeans were too tight. Super cool.
• Dancing is super un-cool. You go to stake dances to stand in circles and talk with people of your own gender. Obviously.
• It's cool if no one can tell if you're male or female. So cool.
• Going to your own stake dance is silly; go to another's stake dance and you will instantly be the cool kid.

Needless to say, I was reminded why I didn't go to stake dances ever as teenager.

Here are my New Year's resolutions:

• No fast food (like Taco Bell and Burger King. Subway doesn't count.)
• Work out 4 days a week (so far, so good. I bought running shoes yesterday. I went running [aka walking quickly] and biking today. I'm a rockstar.)
• Daily scripture study and prayer.
