One of my voice students is in a community production of Little Mermaid, Jr. and I needed someone to come with me to the show (since I knew that D would not enjoy it at all).
L happens to love Little Mermaid and was thrilled to be my date!
We had a blast! We got sodas to drink during the show - L got Orange Soda, yum! She was adorable and snuggled right next to me the whole time and held my hand and put my arm around her. She even had me cover her eyes when she got scared (Ursula was intense). She clapped, cheered, danced along and laughed in all the right places and the show was so much more enjoyable as I tried to see it through her eyes (and the show was really enjoyable to begin with).
After the show, we got to meet Ariel, Ursula and Sebastian, which was followed by a trip to Icing on the Cupcake for delicious cupcakes!
I love how sweet my niece is and that I get to spend so much time with her!
And, I love supporting community theaters and my voice students!
Win-win!
Now, someone tell my husband it's his turn to take me out on a date.
