Nicknames: Jack, Jackie, Jackie-Boy, Jack-Jack, Action Jackson, Bubba, Bug
This Month:
- Jackson learned to roll from his tummy to his back and from his back to his tummy! And now, he is on the move - he is never where we set him! And he can roll with our without his braces on, which I think is amazing.
- Jackson learned to sit up unsupported!
- Jack loves to sing, which my voice students think is hilarious. His favorite songs are: You Are My Sunshine, Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam, Popcorn Popping, and the BYU Fight Song.
- Solid foods are a big hit with this kid! Current favorites include: sweet potatoes, butternut squash and bananas. He does not care for peas at all (he's his momma's boy!).
- I am pretty sure that we have entered the teething stage - yikes. It's not very fun. Thank goodness for baby Tylenol, teething gel, and teething tablets.
- He loves Izzy! He reaches for, loves her kisses, grabs her ears, and wants to follow her everywhere. Mom and dad are definitely not as cool as the dog.
- Jack has found his toes! I think that's connected to the sitting thing. Or maybe because he's wearing his braces less. Either way, it's pretty funny!
- Jack doesn't really care for the whole standing thing or putting weight on his legs. Again chalking this one up to the braces.
- Bath time is starting to become fun - I think because we took the mesh thing out of the bathtub so he can sit up more.
- Jack likes to Skype with his Oregon family. He loves when they sing and clap and make noises at him.
- Jack has started to giggle! And it's the cutest thing! I have found myself making the silliest faces and noises and singing the silliest songs to try and get giggles out of him.
- He is one ticklish kid!
- He likes playing peek-a-boo and has started playing it with a blanket himself.
- We've started playing an echo game where he yells waits for me to yell back. We then do this for a few minutes until he starts giggling. And then he waits a few minutes and starts again.
I am the luckiest momma in the whole world to have this sweet boy in my life!
