2. In my religion class, we were talking about the roles of mothers today. It was emphasized how mothers should not work and should stay home.Ok, great. I agree.
To a point....
I think I'm more of an exception to the rule because if I were to stay home all the time, I could go crazy and not be a good mother and my kids would hate me. Seriously. I have learned that I need to be doing something outside to fulfill me before I can do anything to meet the needs of anyone else.
M. Russell Ballard said, "find some time for yourself to cultivate your gifts and interests. Pick one or two things that you would like to learn or do that will enrich your life, and make time for them. Water cannot be drawn from an empty well, and if you are not setting aside a little time for what replenishes you, you will have less and less to give to others, even to your children" in April 2008 conference. And I have a testimony of that statement.
For me, that will be working in a theatre, probably only part time, but still working outside of the home on something theatrical.
Hope my religion teacher doesn't think I'm going to hell for that. I swear it's for the best interest of my far-away-in-the-future children. But the whole time he was talking about how all women should be at home always, I kept thinking, "oh man, if only you knew me."
so... about random dreams... I had a dream the other night that my management called me, said there was another roommate moving into our third room, so you (our at the time roommate) had to move in with me to make room for her. I was ok with it at first until I realized I had a contract for a private room... def told them I was NOT about to pay the same rent if I was sharing the room... which they didn't like... and as I was moving my closet around to make room for you, I realized that I liked having my closet all to me. even though I LOVE you! anyway... random, I know. but I thought I would share! and I don't know how you keep up with 3 blogs bec I can barely do my one!
