Truth: It feels stale and cold and I don't like spending time in it.
Truth: That is not good for my <3 life.
Dear world, this is my plea - help me re-vamp my bedroom so that it's a place I like to be in! It feels stale, unwelcoming, blah. Not good things for a bedroom! (esp. when you're married)
Here's what it looks like in its current state:
Help me, please?
please?
Couple thoughts about the bedroom:
ReplyDelete1. Candles. Don't save them for special occasions. And you can get a huge bag of tealights for like a buck at party stores.
2. Flowers, even fake ones (if you're like me and kill plants) really help. I have a fake bouquet on our nightstand from my bridal shower and it goes a long way to "softening" the room. Look for craft store coupons in the mail or paper. Anyway, a bunch of fake flowers is like, five bucks.
3. Cozy blankets and pillows. Maybe a throw on top of the comforter, or some throw pillows? I bet right about now all the "back to college" stuff is on sale at Target.
Living with boys makes it hard sometimes to balance the masculine and feminine.
are you allowed to paint? if so, changing the white walls would probably warm it up alot.
ReplyDeleteEasy (and cheap) fix: $20-$30 Douvet Cover/Shams from Ikea!! It's like the quickest bedroom remodel ever!
ReplyDeletepaint is always a good, quick fix. Can I help you once you actually do it? =)
