Down Time?

It's Thanksgiving!

I am making the Thanksgiving feast!

And I have down time.

On Thanksgiving.

How did this happen?

The turkey is in the oven (and smelling amazing), my apple pie is done (looks and smells amazing), rolls are done, the green beans are washed and ready to be cooked, and the stuffing and potatoes are ready to be cooked, but if I made the green beans, potatoes or stuffing now now, they wouldn't be warm for dinner at 5.  

I have even had time to shower and do my hair and wear real people clothes (not pajamas)!

This is amazing!

Mom suggested I take a nap to be ready for the festivities...but, I feel that it would be a little more appropriate to count my blessings on a day that celebrates giving thanks.  :)

• My mother-in-law Gayle who sent us the sweetest Thanksgiving package and who is always doing little, oh so thoughtful things for us

• An awesome sister-in-law who always lets us crash at her house and is so funny and fun to be with
• A brother-in-law who gives great advice and goes to see all the movies that I don't want to see with Dustin
• An adorable niece and two adorable nephews

• An apartment with lots of windows, a washer and drier, and lots of space
