a pet peeve

do you know what i think is silly?

when people ask, "may i use your restroom?"

what am i going to say?  "NO! of COURSE you CANNOT use my RESTROOM!  what were you even THINKING!?"  

yeah right.

and by asking to use a person's restroom, you're announcing to the whole world, or at least everyone within ear shot, that you've gotta go and cannot wait any longer.  nice.

i don't know what the solution is, but i think what what we've got going for us right now is goofy and should change.

*for the record, this post was not brought on by anyone asking me that question or by me asking anyone that question either.  just a thought i had while doing dishes after thanksgiving dinner last night.  :)
