Being a mom has changed my life and I am frequently looking for or pondering ways I can be a better mother to my sweet boy.
I was reading last night from the LDS General Conference Saturday Afternoon Session. The last talk given that afternoon was by Elder Dallin H. Oaks entitled: Protect The Children.
I knew this would be a talk that I could relate to.
This talk is incredible.
LDS or not, this talk is for you.
It is not a talk about LDS children or how to be an LDS parent.
It is a talk about all children for all adults worldwide, period.
If you have a child, work with children, know a child, want a child, whatever, READ THIS TALK. I simply cannot recommend it strongly enough.
We can all do a little better to protect our children.
Not just the ones that we parent, but children we know, work with, and care about.
Please, take a few minutes and read it here.
I LOVED that talk. Gave me chills.
ReplyDeleteBefore I became a mom, I worked at a group home for troubled teen girls. It was SO sad to see the lives these girls had to lead, and how horrible they had been treated. I truly believe it is each of our responsibility to step up and speak out.
Thanks for posting about this! :-)
Oh and by the way...I've nominated you for a Liebster Blog Award! Head over {here} to see what it's all about. Can't wait to read your responses!
