Eight Months!

Nicknames: Jack, Jack-Jack, Jackie, Bubba, Bug, Doddle Bug

This Month:

• J saw Christmas lights for the first time and loved them!
• J also discovered he loves decorated trees - he loves to grab the ornaments and pull them off!
• J flew to and from Oregon and did great on the flights.
• J got to meet lots of friends in Oregon.
• J had his first Christmas!  He was much more interested in the wrapping paper than anything else, no surprise there.
• J went to the zoo for the first time - we went to the Portland Zoo's Zoo Lights.  He loved it so much he fell asleep.
• J is army crawling and so close to traditional crawling.  Nothing is safe in our home.
• We're still teething.
• J doesn't like sitting still - he is always wiggling!  These photos were quite the challenge because he did not want to sit.
• J is clapping a ton!
• J has figured out how to make all sorts of fun noises with his hands and mouth.
• J loves to bounce in his Johnny Jump Up and his activity center thing.  He especially loves bouncing to music.
•  J rode on a 4-wheeler for the first time (a quick circle in the field behind Mema and Bepa's house).
• J loves bath time!
• J loves Izzy and wants to "play" with her all the time.
• J has gotten pretty good at standing with support - he is much more interested in bouncing, but we're making progress with standing, too.
• J is laughing a ton more, often unsolicited by us - he just cracks himself up!
• J hates peas - like tears, screams, spitting, flailing, the works if we make him eat peas.
• J is a flirt!  If he hears a female's voice, he will wake from a dead sleep to flirt with her.
• J blows raspberries - adorable!
• J understands the signs for "more" "food" and "all done" and is starting to use the sign for "more."
• J loves peek-a-boo!
• Current words include: Dada, Ta, Ba, and Mom (but "Mom" only when he's angry, so far).
• J loves to swing!  He swings in his Johnny Jump Up and at his cousin's house and he loves it!

We love our sweet boy!
